The title page shows a photo of the side of a blue house, looking up towards the roof and the blue sky beyond it, with speckles and artifacts scattered over it, and reads, "sweet distraction."

The first page shows a photo of a body of water at sunset, seen shining through trees and street lamps and traffic lights.

The second page shows a photo of water with dark scribbles over it and reads, "i spent a few weeks thinking about circling the lake at night, sneaking out at 3 in the morning to walk around in the dark. i want to see it. want to avoid the lamplight like it'd burn me. but i'm in my apartment instead, back to the hardwood, compulsively refreshing and refreshing and refreshing. not reaching out but making myself available."

The third page shows a photo of grass and sand on a yellow background with dark scribbles around it and reads, "it's funny that even that feels distant already. it's only been, what, a month? and now another's going to pass."

The fourth page shows a photo of a body of water with clouds over it, and some blue scribbles and marks scattered here and there, and reads, "thank you, for being a sweet distraction. thank you, for reminding me that something like this could be nice."

The fifth page shows a photo of a house, a lawn, some concrete stairs, the sidewalk, grass and bushes, and reads, "you'll never read this. i hope you never read this. will you tell me if you read this?"

The sixth page shows a somewhat clouded or dark sky, with teal borders and some lighter blue scribbles and marks scattered, and reads, "in the cold sunlight i walk up the hill to the cafe. i'm half an hour late to meet my friend. i tell him all about you."

The back cover shows a photo of a curved street lamp with string lights coming from it. The lamp and the string lights are lit, and the sky behind the lamp shows it's nearing sunset.
